Summer days in Whitninsville

I know we haven't written much lately, but days have been just pretty quiet since we got home to Jimmy's parents.

Last weekend Jimmy was suppose to be going sailing with the boys but the sailboat broke so they ended up in Newport for the weekend. I spend the days with the ''wife's and kids'' in Hingham, we went to Cape Cod for the weekend and had a really fun time.

This is just a short rundown of the things we have been up to lately. Jimmy took his nephew Zack mini golfing one day followed by lunch at the Patriots Place. Next day we visited ''Old Sturbridge Village'' which was a very interesting and historical place from the 1830's. I felt kind of silly because in this village people where wearing costumes, well I saw a group of people in costumes sitting in a bench and I took their picture, realizing later that they where not part of the village but a big family of Amish people!!!! OMG was I embarrassed!!!! I had never seen Amish people in real life!! Give me a break! I felt bad for a few minutes but then walked away and just laugh all day about it.

Last Thursday we visited ''Federal Hill'' in Providence. Cool little town where Jimmy spend a few years of his life working at ''Jimmy's at the Italo'' amount other places. Federal Hill is full of Italians, Italian restaurants and Deli's. We met up with Jimmy's friend Jason, had lunch and they headed off to play golf for the day while I spend 6 hours or so at the mall (Providence Place). At the end of the night we met up at Tavern 743 for dinner. We spend the night at Jason's place and drove back to Whitinsville the next day.

Friday we had a BBQ with the Cowan\Massi family. Mike Cowan has been Jimmy's friend since they were 6 years old. Mike and his wife Amy have 3 kids Ashley, Mike and RJ. Good food, drinks and laughs were all involved. Good times to remember and we look forward to next time!
